Fertility Massage Therapy™

Fertility massage is a type of massage that is specifically designed to support reproductive health and fertility. This type of massage focuses on the abdomen, lower back, and hips, and uses specific techniques to improve blood flow to the reproductive organs, release tension and scar tissue, and balance hormones.

Fertility massage can be beneficial for couples who are trying to conceive naturally or undergoing fertility treatments, such as IVF or IUI. It can also be helpful for women who experience menstrual irregularities, endometriosis, or pelvic pain.

What phase of the cycle is recommended to have Fertility Massage?

The most ideal stage is during the first half of your cycle, specifically post-menses and prior to ovulation, otherwise known as the 'Follicular Phase'. You can receive Fertility Massage at any stage of where you are at on your fertility journey (very beginning or a long road) as the massage will be tailored to your needs as well as the stage of the cycle. It is suitable at any stage of a natural or ART/IVF cycle, and will be adjusted appropriately for follicular, fertile window or egg collection/transfer phase.

How does Fertility Massage work?

Your therapist will use a combination of techniques, such as myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, and reflexology, to address specific areas of the body. One of the primary benefits of fertility massage is improved blood flow to the reproductive organs. This can help to increase ovarian function, promote healthy egg development, and support the implantation of a fertilized egg. Improved blood flow can also help to reduce inflammation and promote the healing of scar tissue, which can improve fertility.

Benefits

  • Improved blood circulation to the reproductive organs, including the uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes.

  • Hormonal balance & regulation by stimulating the endocrine system.

  • Reduction of adhesions and scar tissue.

  • Stress reduction & overall stress levels. Activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which induces a state of calmness and deep relaxation.

  • Improved reproductive organ position: Fertility massage therapy techniques can help realign and optimize the position of the uterus and other reproductive organs. Correct alignment can enhance its ability to receive and nourish a fertilized egg, increasing the chances of implantation and pregnancy.

Fertility massage can also help to balance hormones, which is essential for reproductive health. The massage therapist will work to stimulate the endocrine system, which is responsible for producing hormones such as estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. By balancing hormones, fertility massage can help to regulate menstrual cycles, improve ovulation, and reduce symptoms of hormonal imbalances.

In addition to physical benefits, fertility massage can also be emotionally beneficial. The process of trying to conceive can be stressful and emotional, and fertility massage can provide a relaxing and supportive environment for couples to connect and reduce stress. It has been proven that stress is one of the main contributors to infertility, therefore regular massage is important for reducing stress on the body.

Overall, fertility massage can be a valuable tool for couples who are trying to conceive naturally or undergoing fertility treatments. By improving blood flow, balancing hormones, and reducing stress, fertility massage can support reproductive health and increase the chances of a successful pregnancy.
